Dr. Kaplan provides independent medical evaluations (IME), in addition to forensic evaluations involving testamentary capacity, guardianship cases, and other situations where there are questions about an individual's mental health, emotional harm, or ability to care for oneself. She also offers private adoption evaluations and parental capacity evaluation services to both private attorneys and government agencies (i.e., JFS, DCBS, & DCS).

Dr. Kaplan and KFPS clinicians use only evidence-based assessment methods and psychological tests to provide a variety of psychological diagnostic evaluation services to the general public.  The majority of diagnostic assessment referrals pertain to questions related to  a possible diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other common, co-occurring diagnoses such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
