David's CV


David Roehm, M.A. is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program  at Eastern Kentucky University, where he is completing his advanced doctoral training at an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program in psychology. His work integrates his experiences across various forensic and clinical settings, with a focus on evidence-based psychological testing.


David has assisted with a wide range of forensic evaluations under the supervision of Lauren E. Kaplan, Psy.D.  since 2023 at Kaplan Forensic Psychological Services, located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.  His forensic work includes assisting with evaluations for criminal and civil courts to  answer psycho-legal questions pertaining to Competence to  Stand Trial, Criminal Responsibility, Psycho-sexual risk, and Parental Capacity.


In addition to forensic work at KFPS, David also provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations assessing for the presence of

fneurodevelopmental disorders, such as

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),  and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity (ADHD) Disorder. David is also proficient in the diagnosing of mood, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders, and his assessment process focuses on the true importance of diagnostic clarity, functional understanding

of clinical diagnoses, and implementation of effective treatment recommendations.


David's background experience includes  community mental health and university clinics and private practice settings. His research publications examined important clinical topics, such as trauma-informed care, psychological assessment validity, and child welfare. He was recognized for academic excellence during presentations at national conferences.


Through his focus on forensic and clinical psychology, David is truly committed to providing accurate, ethically grounded, and empirically-informed evaluations to assist the courts, attorneys, and private clients in seeking deeper understandings of various psychological concepts.
